Its been a while, eh   [edit]

and it has been a while. i cant remember the last post i posted, or even what its about. now allison asked me what am i going to blog about, and what a good question that is. so give me a moment to ponder that question a bit.

first a little update about me. im still alive.

now that we gots the little bits outta the way, i wanna talk about some movies i have watched movies. enchanted ia a good family fun movie. AVP 2, well, aside from its impressive action scenes with the predator and alien, was kinda forgettable. i liked i am legend. a different side of will 'fresh prince' smith you do see, and his dog was cute too. cloverfield was a good watch too, tho the whole shaky camera thing kinda gets a little annoying after a bit. apparently it made some people dizzy. and finally sweeney todd. i feel that this deserves a paragraph of its own.

so here is that paragraph. ugh was my initial reaction when hearing about another burton/depp collabration. fyi - its their sixth project together. and my doubts was further deepened when hearing it was a musical. with sacha baron cohen. oh the proverbial poopy will hit the fan on this one i thought. i still dont know why i watched it. maybe it was boredom. maybe it  was the movie poster. maybe i was in the mood for a musical. maybe it was sweeney's shiny razor; which turned out to be silver, hence the shiny. so im there watching the movie with allison. it has an interesting beginning with dripping blood thru stuff like cobblestone and cogs. then a very female looking man starts singing. oh boy i thought. but some how the movie hooks you. it grabs your attention and hangs on tight. now some reviews would go 'the movie is set in the industrial era london, with sweeney todd arriving at the docks with his friend anthony.' but then this is a review, not a synopsis so non of that nonsense. im going to go straight to the throat(ha ha) of the matter. and there is very visual visual throat slashing action going on. and someone had said 'its sweeney todd, so it needs rivers of blood' and rivers of blood is what you do get. oh methinks this needs another paragraph for fear that this looks too long.

now since this is a musical, its only fair that i talk about the music. and what music it is. its all music that sets the theme for the scene and it fit so well. its at times erratic, at times hopeful and at times, funny. if you find making people into pies funny that is. theres a funny song about that and that has got to be my favorite scene in the movie.

oh i can go on and on about it, about how good the cinematography was, about how tight sasha baron cohen's pants were, and blood gushing goodness abound, but i think thats a decision you need to make for yourself. dont let the copious amounts of blood put you off, because this is a movie that deserves at least one watch. and thats one watch to remember.

well, i think im all typed out for now. so until the next time i update this stuff, au revoire, sayonara and all that
